Exam Information
Exam 1 is worth 25 points and will consist of multiple-choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, matching, and long-answer questions. Exam questions are derived from the class material covered in Modules 1-6 (required readings, lectures, etc.) and are randomly drawn from a pool of questions.
π Note:
- The exam is closed book, but handwritten notes that you have taken on your study guide may be used.
- A corded internet connection (ethernet cable) is highly recommended when completing an exam - extra time will not be given if a WiFi connection fails during an exam.
- Find a quiet location for an uninterrupted period of time to complete each exam.
- Turn off all other electronic devices (e.g., tablets, phones, second computers).
π Reminder:
- You have one attempt for Exam 1 and 50 minutes to complete the exam.
- Once you start the exam, you cannot pause it. You must complete it in the time given. A warning will be given at the top of the page when you have one minute remaining to complete the exam. It looks like this:
- If you exceed the allotted time for the exam, you will be informed that you have used all the allotted time, and the only operation you will be able to perform is to submit the exam. You will not be penalized if the timer appears β it is only there to notify you that you have used all the allotted time and can only submit the exam. A countdown timer will start that automatically submits your exam in 10 seconds if you do not choose to do so yourself.
- The timer looks like this:
- The score you see after submitting your exam is not your entire exam score. Long-answer questions need to be manually graded, and fill-in-the-blank answers are reviewed to see if credit should be applied for a close answer that was marked as incorrect. I will post an announcement once all exams have been corrected, complete exam grades are available, and exams are available for review.
